This app actually works as well! I thought this was way too good to be true - voice recognition search, yeah right! But it's really good on my first few trials. As it also has location recognition from the on-board GPS it will even give you the most relevant local results. Searches for 'fish and chip takeaway' brought up the takeaway down the road top of the list, 'Vietnamese restaurant Ilkley' brought the place I was eating at tonight (the location of which I didn't know, and so promtly clicked the link to open in my mobile Google Maps app). Even a search for Thai restaurant didn't create any confusion with Gentleman's tailors, mixing up the word 'tie'. You can set the accent to US, UK and Australian amongst a few others - UK worked just fine for me. This comes at the same time as Google's navigation app for their Android OS which also features voice recognition. I did away with pen and paper a long time ago, is it soon time to do away with typing??!
